OSHI Gallery was Australia’s first purpose-built gallery and online platform dedicated to blockchain, crypto, and NFT art. Located in the heart of Collingwood on Smith Street — named “The Coolest Street in the World” in 2021 — OSHI brought digital and physical worlds together, creating a hub for curious newcomers, passionate collectors, and industry thought leaders.
Spanning two floors with a capacity of 300+, the space hosted curated exhibitions, collaborative events, workshops, exclusive artist launches, art activations, masterclasses, and more. OSHI grew out of years of on-the-ground community building, including NFT meetups since 2018 and notable exhibitions such as Shepard Fairey (OBEY) in 2017, an ABC-televised “Art on the Blockchain” show in 2018, the world’s longest-running public cryptoart exhibition at Rialto in 2021, and a segment on 60 Minutes’ ARCADE cryptoart gallery.
As a creative developer at OSHI Gallery, I worked on smart contracts, authenticated NFC for merchandise, fine art printing workflows, and an artist profile platform.
I also hosted regular Creative AI meetups at the gallery, bringing together artists, technologists, and curious minds to explore the intersection of artificial intelligence and creative practice.
